The Brazilian Ministry of Education (MEC) has accredited the Macau University of Science and Technology, in China, making it an examination site for the Certificate of Proficiency in Portuguese for Foreigners (Celpe-Bras). The partnership was signed through the National Institute for Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (Inep), an autarchy linked to the Brazilian Ministry, and the ceremony was held on November 29.

The University of Cape Verde (Uni-CV) participated in the Second Global South Think Tanks Dialogue, held in Nanjing, China, from November 13 to 15. The Vice-Rector for Research and Advanced Training, Sónia Semedo, took part in the event which brought together more than 100 academic bodies from the Global South and many other Chinese institutions and think tanks.

On November 28, the Brazilian Minister of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, Carlos Fávaro, met with representatives of organizations that are part of the Agro-innovation Alliance. The agenda of this meeting includes the discussion strengthening the relationship between Brazil and China in the agricultural sector, with a focus on agricultural biotechnology.

A delegation from the University of Coimbra (UC), headed by the Pro-Rector for Sustainability and Planning, Patrícia Pereira da Silva, participate in the 14th annual conference of the Portuguese-speaking Higher Education Forum (FORGES), which is taking place until November 28 at the Polytechnic University of Macau.

On November 27, the University of Brasilia (UnB) launched the Brazil-China Center for Research, Development and Promotion of Technology and Mechanization for Family Farming, in the presence of China's Minister of Education, Huai Jinpeng. The cooperation agreement was signed between UnB and China Agricultural University (CAU).

On November 27, the premiere of the series "Understanding Chinese Classics" was held in Beijing, organized by Edições de Línguas Estrangeiras, under the guidance of the China International Communications Group and the Brazilian Embassy in China.

On November 20, the National Confederation of Industry (CNI) and China's Tsinghua University signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) laying the foundations for cooperation in innovation and technology. The agreements for the partnership began in June this year in Beijing, during a Brazilian government mission to China that was accompanied by Brazilian industry.

On November 20, the BRF, one of the world's largest food companies, announced the acquisition of a processed food factory in Henan province, China, in which it will invest around R$ 460 million to establish a position as a producer in China.

On November 27, a delegation from the National University of Timor-Leste (UNTL) visited the Portuguese Institute of Orient (IPOR) to learn more about the experience of the institute, based in the Macao Special Administrative Region, in certifying knowledge of Portuguese.

With a Chinese delegation of representatives from the China University of Petroleum (CUP) and the main Chinese state-owned oil companies, led by China's Minister of Education, Huai Jinpeng, the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) signed a memorandum to creat the China-Brazil Institute of Outstanding Engineers, an institution that aims to produce teaching and research excellence in the field of engineering at the UFRJ.

On November 22, a delegation of professors Song Zhenghe, Yang Minli, Zhou Yuguang, and others from the Engineering College, China Agricultural University (CAU), visited the Federal University of Goiás (UFG) of Brazil and was received by its rector Angelita Pereira de Lima. The visit is a follow-up to UFG's scientific mission to China in October, when this Brazilian University team also visited the CAU.

Representing the Rector of the University of Cape Verde (Uni-CV), the Pro-Rector for Technology, Innovation and Data, Celestino Barros, accompanied by the Director of the Confucius Institute at Uni-CV, He Jianing, participated in the 2024 World Chinese Language Conference, held in Beijing between November 15 and 17.
