The microgrid project on the campus of the University of Campinas in Campinas (Unicamp), Brazil, was officially put into operation on November 21, making it the first medium-voltage microgrid in Brazil and the largest campus microgrid in Latin America. The initiative is the result of a strategic collaboration between the Unicamp, the CPFL Energia, the China Electric Power Research Institute (CEPRI) and the Hangzhou Hexing Electric Power Technology Co., Ltd.

The Brazilian Ministry of Education (MEC) has accredited the Macau University of Science and Technology, in China, making it an examination site for the Certificate of Proficiency in Portuguese for Foreigners (Celpe-Bras). The partnership was signed through the National Institute for Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (Inep), an autarchy linked to the Brazilian Ministry, and the ceremony was held on November 29.

The University of Cape Verde (Uni-CV) participated in the Second Global South Think Tanks Dialogue, held in Nanjing, China, from November 13 to 15. The Vice-Rector for Research and Advanced Training, Sónia Semedo, took part in the event which brought together more than 100 academic bodies from the Global South and many other Chinese institutions and think tanks.
