The closing ceremony and certificate presentation for the Colloquium on E-Commerce between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries was held on 30 October at the Press Centre of the Complex of Commerce and Trade Co-operation Platform for China and Portuguese-speaking Countries. The colloquium was organised by the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) and delivered by the City University of Macau.

From 21 to 24 October 2026, the 31st Macao International Trade & Investment Fair (31st MIF), the 2026 Portuguese Speaking Countries Products and Services Exhibition (Macao) (2026PLPEX), and the Macao Franchise Expo 2026 (2026MFE) are being held concurrently at Cotai Expo, The Venetian Macao.

The 4th Industrial and Commercial Conference for the Development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area was held in Macao on 22 October. All members of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao took part, alongside 20 Portuguese-speaking officials attending the Colloquium on E-Commerce between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries.

On 22 October, Arlindo Nascimento do Rosário, Ambassador of Cabo Verde to the People’s Republic of China, visited the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao to bid farewell to its members.

On 16 October, a 16-member Brazilian delegation of young diplomats from the Rio Branco Institute, led by Gustavo Fortuna de Azevedo Freire da Costa, co-ordinator in the Institute’s Directorate, visited the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao for in-depth discussions on strengthening co-operation and broadening exchanges between China and Brazil.

On 6 October, Ji Xianzheng, Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao), warmly welcomed a delegation led by Ambassador José Paulino Cunha da Silva, Angola’s Secretary of State at the Ministry of External Relations.

On 18 September, Ji Xianzheng, Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao, together with members of the Secretariat, received a delegation led by Zhang Guohua, Chairman of the Hebei Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, member of the Standing Committee of the Hebei Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and Director of the Administrative Committee of Xiong’an New Area.

The 5th China (Macao) High-quality Consumption Exhibition & Hengqin Global Bay Areas Forum is being held in Macao and Hengqin from 9 to 13 September 2026.

From 7 to 10 September, a delegation from the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao), led by its Secretary-General, Dr Ji Xianzheng, visited Beijing.

On the afternoon of 30 July 2026, the 43rd Study Mission of Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Departments visited the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) for a working exchange.

From 23 to 25 July 2026, Xie Ying, Deputy Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao, led a delegation of the Permanent Secretariat on a visit to Mozambique. During the visit, the delegation participated in the Entrepreneurs Meeting for Commercial and Economic Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries – Maputo – 2026 and organised a presentation session of the Permanent Secretariat.

Xie Ying, Deputy Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao, led a delegation of the Secretariat on a visit to Cabo Verde from 19 to 22 July.
