On the afternoon of 30 July 2026, the 43rd Study Mission of Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Departments visited the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) for a working exchange.

From 23 to 25 July 2026, Xie Ying, Deputy Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao, led a delegation of the Permanent Secretariat on a visit to Mozambique. During the visit, the delegation participated in the Entrepreneurs Meeting for Commercial and Economic Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries – Maputo – 2026 and organised a presentation session of the Permanent Secretariat.

Xie Ying, Deputy Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao, led a delegation of the Secretariat on a visit to Cabo Verde from 19 to 22 July.

On 13 July, Ji Xianzheng, Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao, received a delegation led by Fan Yaosheng, President of Bank of China Macau Branch, and Ip Sio Kai, Vice President of the Branch.

On the evening of 4 July 2026, the opening of the Music and Dance Performance of the 18th Cultural Week of China and Portuguese-speaking Countries was held at Tangdao 637 Plaza in Xining.

On the morning of 4 July 2026, under the slogan “Lusophony on the Silk Road, Qinghai and Macao Shining Together”, the Qinghai-Macao-Portuguese-speaking Countries Commercial and Cultural Co-operation Meeting was held in Xining, marking the launch of the activities of the 18th Cultural Week of China and Portuguese-speaking Countries in Xining.

In the late afternoon of June 30, the Opening Ceremony and the Music and Dance Performance of the 18th Cultural Week of China and Portuguese-speaking Countries were held at Senado Square in Macao.

The Handicraft Exhibition of Portuguese-speaking Countries “Lusophone Polychromy”, one of the activities of the 18th Cultural Week of China and Portuguese-speaking Countries, opened on 29 June at the IAM Gallery.

The Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) held the Gastronomic Showcase of Portuguese-speaking Countries of the 18th Cultural Week of China and Portuguese-speaking Countries today (26 June) at noon at FADO Restaurant of Hotel Royal Macau.
