A European delegation led by Portugal will participate in the 13th Macau International Tourism Industry Expo (MITE), which takes place from April 25 to 27. The organization of the delegation is the responsibility of the Portuguese Association of Travel and Tourism Agencies (APAVT).

In addition, Macau will host the semi-annual meeting of the European Confederation of Travel Agents and Tour Operators Associations (ECTAA) in June. Regarding this event, Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, director of the Macau Government Tourist Office (MGTO), highlighted that the collaboration with APAVT was essential for the rapprochement with ECTAA. Portugal is not just a destination to reach. Portugal is also there to help us reach the European market," he said.

The region is also preparing to host, from December 2 to 4, the 50th APAVT congress, considered the largest annual meeting of the Portuguese tourism industry, which is expected to bring together between 700 and 800 participants.
