Brazilian exports to China totalled US$58.3 billion in the first half of 2026, the highest figure ever recorded for the period. Imports from China also reached an all-time high, amounting to US$38.5 billion. According to the Brazil-China Business Council (CEBC), these results confirm China’s position as Brazil’s leading trading partner.

The performance was driven by increased exports of products such as soybeans, crude oil, iron ore and beef, which continued to account for the bulk of Brazilian sales to the Chinese market. According to CEBC, China received 69.5% of Brazil’s soybean exports, 68.6% of its iron ore exports, 54% of its crude oil exports and 53% of its beef exports.

The results reinforce the importance of trade relations between the two countries in the international arena. According to CEBC, in addition to increasing demand for Brazilian products, China consolidated its position as the leading supplier of goods to the Brazilian market, particularly electric vehicles, highlighting the strengthening of bilateral trade flows in the first half of 2026.
