The 14th Cultural Week of China and Portuguese-speaking Countries, hosted by the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao, came to a successful conclusion. The series of activities of the Cultural Week have further promoted cultural exchanges and cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking countries, enhanced mutual understanding among Macao, mainland China

Cristina Mangue Abeso arrived in Macao on November 30 to assume her new position as the first delegate of Equatorial Guinea to the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao. Equatorial Guinea joined Forum Macao at the Extraordinary Ministerial Meeting of Forum Macao held on April 10, 2022.

On November 25, a delegation of about 40 teachers and students from the Institute for Research on Portuguese-speaking Countries and Macau ‘One Belt, One Road’ Research Center of City University of Macau (CityU Macau), led by Ip Kuai Peng, the Pro-Rector of CityU Macau, visited the Permanent Secretariat of Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) for exchanges and learning.

The “14th Cultural Week of China and Portuguese-speaking Countries”, organized by the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao, will open on November 18. A series of activities will take place for three consecutive days at the Macau Fisherman’s Wharf for the public to appreciate the cultural traditions of China and Portuguese-speaking countries.

Organized by the Permanent Secretariat of Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao), the 2nd “Lusophone Polychromes” exhibition series, part of the 14th Cultural Week of China and Portuguese-speaking Countries, will be held from November 18 to December 11, 2022, at Lisbon 2 Building at Macau Fisherman’s Wharf.

The 14th Cultural Week of China and Portuguese-speaking Countries, organized by the Permanent Secretariat of Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao), is to start on November 18.

The 17th Ordinary Meeting of the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Forum Macao) was held in Beijing on October 31. The meeting was attended by more than 40 people, namely the delegation of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao headed by Secretary-General Ji Xianzheng, and representatives of the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China (MOFCOM),

The opening ceremony of the “Training Center of Forum Macao – Online Colloquium on Digital Economy for Portuguese-speaking Countries”, organized by the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao and co-organized by the City University of Macau, took place online on October 28, 2022, at 7 p.m. (Beijing time).

From October 19 to 21, the economic and trade delegations from Mainland China that participated in the “27th Macao International Trade and Investment Fair” (27th MIF) in Macao were received by the Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao, Ji Xianzheng. The delegations included those led by the Director of the Department of Commerce of Fujian Province, Huang Heming;

On the morning of October 20, the “Zhejiang-Macao-Portuguese Speaking Countries Economic and Trade Co-operation and Exchange Conference”, organized by the People’s Government of Zhejiang Province and supported by the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao, took place in the Naples Meeting Room of The Venetian Macao.

On the afternoon of October 20, the “12th Industrial and Commercial Summit between Jiangsu-Macao-Portuguese Speaking Countries” was held at The Venetian Macao.
