The Zhaoqing-São Paulo Industrial Investment Co-operation Forum was recently held at the headquarters of the Guangdong Association in Brazil. The event was hosted by the People’s Government of Zhaoqing Municipality and co-organised by the Zhaoqing Committee of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade. It received support from the Consulate-General of China in São Paulo, the Chinese Association of Brazil, the Guangdong Association in Brazil and the Guangdong Business Association in Brazil.

The Brazil-China International Development Chamber of Commerce (CCDIBC) participated as the Brazilian co-organiser and was responsible for the implementation and logistical co-ordination of the event. Under the theme “Deepening ‘Five-Pronged Co-operation’ and Promoting High-Standard Opening-Up”, the forum sought to establish a practical platform connecting governments and enterprises in Zhaoqing, a city in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and São Paulo.

More than 40 Brazilian enterprises participated in the event, representing sectors including mining, construction, property development, import and export trade, security systems, cosmetics and hospitality. Their participation reflected the strong interest of the Brazilian market in Zhaoqing’s industries.

The event also included a ceremony for the signing of co-operation agreements. In the presence of representatives from both countries, enterprises from Zhaoqing and Brazil formalised commercial and industrial partnerships, laying a solid foundation for deeper collaboration in the future.
