Professor Oscar Vilhena, Dean of the FGV São Paulo Law School, recently participated in The World Jurists Forum 2026, which was held in Beijing. Organised by the China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL), the World Jurists Forum is a global academic conference established in 2022 and dedicated to discussions on legal education and research in the field of law.
The event aims to provide a high-level platform for dialogue among jurists from around the world, promote theoretical innovation in legal education and legal research, and facilitate exchanges and mutual learning between Chinese and international communities dedicated to the rule of law.
This edition of the forum was dedicated to the changes in legal education in the digital era and brought together 28 invited experts from 18 countries and regions, as well as more than 2,000 online participants from 600 institutions worldwide.
During the forum, Vilhena presented the paper “Brazilian Constitutional Framework for the Digital Economy”, which examines its application to the digital economy. The paper was presented on the panel “Legal Protection for the Digital Economy”, under the co-ordination of the Brazil-China Law Schools Consortium, of which FGV São Paulo Law School and CUPL are founding institutions and are currently responsible for its management.
