Just a few months after its first arrival, the cargo ship of BYD, BYD Explorer No. 1, docked for the second time in Brazil on February 27 at the port of Aracruz (ES), bringing over 5,000 electric and hybrid cars to the Brazilian market at once. It also brought a novelty: the SUV Denza B5.

The new Denza B5 is a large SUV with a more rugged and off-road style. It shares the same platform as the Shark pickup, the DMO, which is exclusive to hybrid vehicles. Sold in China as the Fang Cheng Bao Leopard 5, the model will be marketed in Brazil under the luxury brand Denza.

Together, they offer 686 hp of power and 760 Nm of combined torque. The electric range is up to 125 kilometres on the Chinese cycle and 1,200 kilometres in total combined with the combustion engine.
