The University of Cape Verde (Uni-CV) participated in the Second Global South Think Tanks Dialogue, held in Nanjing, China, from November 13 to 15. The Vice-Rector for Research and Advanced Training, Sónia Semedo, took part in the event which brought together more than 100 academic bodies from the Global South and many other Chinese institutions and think tanks.
During the meeting, Sónia Semedo gave a speech at the session entitled “Deepening Mutual Learning among Civilizations for Common Progress”. In the speech, the vice-rector stressed that by strengthening communication and promoting dialogue, the countries of the Global South support each other on paths of modernization that reflect their national conditions.
The event provided opportunities to explore future collaborations between Uni-CV and Chinese institutions, as well as with other academic entities in the Global South.
