The Oeiras investment promotion agency is in Macau trying to attract Chinese technology companies to a business park, a Sino-Portuguese partnership, whose construction should begin this year, said the organization's leader on October 18.

The president of the Oeiras Valley Investment Agency (OVIA), António Martins da Cruz, said that the municipality in the Lisbon district “is interested in attracting more investment, especially in technology and construction”.

The former Minister of Foreign Affairs recalled that Oeiras already has “the largest Chinese investment for 2025” in Portugal, a business and housing park with 18 buildings.

This project is a partnership between the Macau subsidiary of the world's largest construction company, the state-owned China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) and the Portuguese group Teixeira Duarte.
