A celebration of Chinese traditional culture was held in the streets of the Brazilian city of São Paulo to herald the Lunar New Year next month, CCTV reports.
The Chinese state-run television network says nearly 300 Chinese living in Brazil and many Brazilian singers performed.
The report says the event brought nearly 1,000 spectators out into the streets of São Paulo on Sunday.
The theme of the celebration was entitled “Longing for the distant land”.
The Lunar New Year falls this year on February 16, the first day of what the Chinese call the Year of the Dog, beginning two weeks of holidays in Mainland China.
