The Angolan Road Fund intends to employ 14,000 workers to maintain 11,200km of road rehabilitated with Chinese money in the past few years, Lusa reports.
The Portuguese news agency quotes Road Fund Director Simão Tomé as saying the fund managers will offer jobs first to former service personnel and young unemployed people.
Mr Tomé said positions would be created in every province and filled by local workers.
The report says the fund managers mean to assemble up to 520 maintenance crews.
In the past two years Angola has borrowed US$1.6 billion from China for 33 road rehabilitation projects, Lusa says.
