Trina Solar has signed a supply contract with Brazilian EPC contractor Fiber X to offer solar modules and trackers for the CEMIG SIM project, comprising several distributed generation solar power plants, in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. The project has a total capacity of 90MW.

Under the agreement, Trina Solar will supply high-performance Vertex DEG21-660W modules and Vanguard 1P solar trackers.

“Offering an integrated solution with modules and trackers is a new business model for Trina Solar in Brazil,” said the president of Trina Solar América Latina, Alvaro Garcia-Maltras.

The TrinaTracker Vanguard 1P is particularly suitable on uneven terrain, ensuring safe operation in strong winds. Since the product was launched last year, Vanguard 1P has already delivered more than 1 GW in Brazil. Cumulative shipments of Vertex DEG21-660W modules exceeded 90 GW globally in the third quarter of this year.
