On the 27th of November, the governor of Tocantins, Wanderlei Barbosa, received a delegation of businessmen from the Haian Rubber Group, a Chinese company that manufactures giant OTR radial tyres used in construction and mining. 

The meeting took place at the Araguaia Palace, the seat of local government, and was a return to the visit made by the deputy governor, Laurez Moreira, to the country in September this year, when he visited the 23rd China International Trade and Investment Fair.

During his speech, Wanderlei said that Tocantins' doors are open to receive a unit of the company and that it will be a great opportunity to boost the state's economy and create more jobs. 

Haian's Brazil and Foreign Market Account Manager, Gabriel Zheng, said that the company is putting together a global distribution business model, which foresees the installation of new industrial plants from 2024 and Tocantins is one of the destinations considered by the manufacturer.
