A business delegation from Macao will visit Manaus, in Brazil, this March, Brazilian news portal Comex do Brasil reported.
Representatives from the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) and the Macao Government’s Environmental Protection Bureau paid a visit last week to the headquarters of Manaus Duty-Free Zone Authority, also known as Suframa. The aim was to prepare next month’s business trip, which is scheduled for March 9 and 10.
Between 40 and 60 business people – and some Government officials – are expected to visit Manaus, according to António Lei Chi Wai, Director of IPIM’s Small- and Medium-sized Enterprises Service Centre.
The report added one of the aims of March’s visit would be to identify opportunities to establish new Chinese industries at the Manaus Industrial Hub. Another goal would be to improve knowledge on river monitoring and protection.
