A business forum linking delegates from China and from Angola will be held in the second half of March in the Angolan capital, Luanda, Portuguese news agency Lusa reported this week.
The Chinese Ambassador to Angola, Cui Aimin, was quoted saying: “The Angolan Government wants to take this opportunity to attract more foreign investment, particularly from China.”
The event would also be a chance for Angolan business leaders and entrepreneurs to meet their Chinese counterparts, he noted.
Lusa reported last month that China would provide credits worth US$5.2 billion to Angola in order to fund 155 projects in the African nation. The schemes – to be implemented by Chinese companies – would create nearly 365,000 jobs, the media outlet had added.
