October 20, Secretary-General Mr. Ji Xian Zheng and key members of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao attended the opening ceremony of the “27th Macao International Trade and Investment Fair” (MIF), the “Macao Franchise Expo 2022” (MFE) and the “2022 Portuguese Speaking Countries Products and Services Exhibition (Macao)” (PLPEX).

The opening ceremony of the “Training Center of Forum Macao – Online Colloquium on Blue Economy for Portuguese-speaking Countries”, organized by the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) and co-organized by the City University of Macau, took place online on September 30, 2022, at 7:00 p.m.

On September 29, a parallel forum on “Strengthening China and Portuguese-speaking Countries Infrastructure Cooperation, Promoting the Recovery of SMEs” was held at Cotai Expo, The Venetian Macao, during the 13th International Infrastructure Investment and Construction Forum (IIICF).

On September 27, Secretary-General Ji Xianzheng of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao, together with key members of the Permanent Secretariat, received Vice-Governor Zhao Haishan of Hubei Province and his delegation.

In order to further leverage the role of Macao as a platform for promoting pragmatic exchanges and cooperation between Mainland China, Macao and Portuguese-speaking countries in the field of tourism, and to contribute to the development of Macao as a world tourism and leisure centre, the “Promotion Seminar of Tourism Products from Portuguese-speaking Countries”,

On May 6, Secretary-General Dr. Ji Xianzheng, together with other members of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao, visited the National Security Education Exhibition at the China-Portuguese-speaking Countries Commercial and Trade Service Platform Complex in Macao. Dr. Ji Xianzheng underlined that the visit will help the delegates of Portuguese-speaking countries to Forum Macao deepen their knowledge of the general situation of China and Macao SAR.

The 2nd edition of the 928 Challenge, a competition for university students from China and Portuguese-speaking countries, is to be held in Macao in the third quarter this year. The event is co-organised by Forum Macao, City University of Macau, the University of Macau, Macau University of Science and Technology, the University of Saint Joseph,

A delegation from the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao, led by Secretary-General Mr Ji Xianzheng, visited on April 13 the Macao Young Entrepreneur Incubation Centre (MYEIC). The aim of the visit was to learn more about the role of the MYEIC, and its existing cooperation with Portuguese-speaking Countries.

A delegation led by Vice Governor of Zhejiang Province Mr Zhu Congjiu paid a visit on April 12 to the headquarters of the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao).

The Extraordinary Ministerial Meeting of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) was successfully held online on April 10, 2022, by the Government of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) with the cooperation of the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao). The online Meeting was held simultaneously via Macao and Beijing.
