Brazil and China strengthen partnership to protect consumers and combat piracy

On November 6, at the Palace of Justice in Brasília, the Brazilian National Consumer Secretariat (Senacon) received the vice-minister of China's State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR), Liu Jun, to discuss joint consumer protection strategies.


The meeting focused on exchanging experiences and establishing a memorandum of understanding aimed at combating piracy, product guarantees, food safety and other essential measures to ensure consumer rights.


During the meeting, both sides stressed the importance of joint actions to face the challenges of a globalized market and ensure that products offered to Brazilian and Chinese consumers are safe and meet strict quality standards.
