Brazilian Council of Sinology founded in China

The founding ceremony of the Brazilian council, which brings together scholars and researchers on China who work in Brazil, was held on November 2 during the 22nd China International Talent Exchange Conference in Shanghai. The Brazilian Council of Sinology is a regional council established under the auspices of the World Council of Sinology.


The founding of the Brazilian Council of Sinology marks the recognition of scholars and professionals recognized for their contributions to the study and promotion of sinology in Brazil. The president of the Beijing Language and Culture University, Duan Peng, awarded certificates to members of the new Brazilian council.


In the context of the “One Belt, One Road” initiative, the Beijing Language and Culture University has expanded its network, establishing sinological study centers in 12 countries, strengthening the global influence of Chinese studies.
