On June 20, Unicamp received an official delegation from the University of Macau (UM), headed by its rector, professor Yonghua Song. The purpose of the visit was to explore an academic approach.
The meeting was marked by a meeting in which the rector of Unicamp, Antonio José de Almeida Meirelles, and Song signed a cooperation agreement between the two institutions. On the occasion, Meirelles highlighted the importance of the Chinese delegation's visit and the commitment made. He also highlighted Unicamp's vocation for innovation, which is working on the concept of a smart city with the local city hall.
Organized by Unicamp's Executive Board of International Relations (Deri), the hearing was attended by its executive director, Osvaldir Pereira Taranto; the director of the Confucius Institute at the University, Gao Qinxiang and the director of the Institute of Language Studies (IEL) at Unicamp, Petrilson Pinheiro.
