BYD has begun to promote the exchange of experiences between Brazilians working at the Camaçari factory in Bahia and colleagues at the greentech headquarters in Shenzhen, China. The team of 14 professionals includes specialists and engineers in quality, processes, planning, logistics, and storage. There will be three months of exchange in China for professionals to learn how BYD's entire car production chain works.
“The training will enable the exchange of knowledge between teams and processes. We will build the most modern automotive technology in Bahia, with our headquarters in China as a mirror. We intend to turn Bahia into an export hub," says Alexandre Barbosa, technical director at BYD Auto Camaçari.
The BYD Auto Camaçari complex has a total area of 4.6 million square meters. By the end of 2024, the first BYD vehicles will begin to be assembled at the complex. Full production of the cars in Bahia should begin in 2025.
