CGN Brasil is investing R$650 million in the construction of a solar park in the municipality of Russas. The unit is expected to operate in the first quarter of 2025. Work should begin in the first quarter of 2024. The forecast is that 700 jobs will be created.
The Lagoinha Photovoltaic Solar Complex complex is located on an area of 304 hectares and will be able to generate 370,000 MWh per year, the equivalent of supplying 240 thousand homes.
CGN Brasil Energia e Participações S.A. is a multinational company in the energy sector, affiliated with CGN Energy International Holdings Co. Ltd. Operations in Brazil began in 2019 after the acquisition of wind energy projects from Atlantic Energias Renováveis, in addition to two more solar parks and one wind farm, reaching an installed capacity of 1.2648 GW.
