The first Liangzhu Forum, held on the 3rd of December in Hangzhou, was co-sponsored by the Chinese Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the people's government of Zhejiang Province.
Chico Brasileiro, mayor of Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil, participated and shared his opinion at the event as a representative of a city that is a member of the Silk Road Tourist Cities Alliance. He took national and foreign guests to appreciate the urban scenery of the Brazilian city of Foz do Iguaçu and also explored more meanings of cultural exchanges based on the city's tourism development practice.
Foz do Iguaçu is the only Brazilian city among the 59 tourist cities worldwide that has joined the International Tourism Alliance of Silk Road Cities.
“We believe that we must strengthen alliances between different countries and cities, promote mutually beneficial cooperation between alliance members and work together to create jobs and improve people's livelihoods and well-being,” said Chico Brasileiro.
