Governor of Piauí signs agreements in China

Governor Rafael Fonteles of Piauí, Brazil, after business meetings with state and Chinese businessmen, signed three Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) with the Fujian Government in Fuzhou, the capital of Fujian province in China.


The first MoU establishes a friendship agreement between Fujian and Piauí, promoting friendly exchanges between the governments and citizens of both provinces and states.


The second MoU involves the Port of Xiamen and the Port of Luís Correia. This agreement aims to develop joint projects, research and studies between Investe Piauí and the Xiamen Port Group, which manages the Port of Xiamen. The intention is to improve the operations of the port in Piauí and promote the production of renewable energy in the region.


The third agreement establishes a partnership between the Xiamen Pilot Free Trade Zone and the Parnaíba Export Processing Zone (EPZ).
