This year's Exhibition of Illustrated Works in Chinese and Portuguese in Macau, with the participation of more than 30 bookshops and publishers, includes talks, workshops and family reading sessions, announced the Macau Cultural Institute (IC).
The fair, which will take place between 27 October and 5 November at the Carmo Auditorium in the Taipa area, aims to help residents and tourists gain a deeper understanding of publications from China and Portuguese-speaking countries and to promote the development of Macau as a city of reading, the IC said in a statement.
The event, which is part of the 5th Meeting in Macau - Arts and Culture Festival between China and the PLP, will be attended by more than 30 bookshops and publishers, including those from Portugal, and will include more than 500 illustrated books and children's books in various languages, mainly Chinese and Portuguese.
