São Tomé e Príncipe Prime Minister Patrice Trovoada has said China will build several blocks of flats for civil servants in his country, STP-Press reports.
The São Tomé e Príncipe state-run news agency quotes Mr Trovoada as saying the housing is one of two co-operative projects by China and São Tomé e Príncipe that are envisaged by agreements he will sign when he visits Beijing.
Mr Trovoada said he was confident that Chinese President Xi Jinping would maintain the Chinese financial commitment to Africa, and perhaps even increase it.
The prime minister left for China on Saturday to attend the Forum on China-Africa Co-operation summit meeting, which begins in Beijing on September 3, STP-Press says.
