China may build a hospital in the Brazilian city of São Paulo, Macauhub reports.

The news website says the possibility was discussed in São Paulo last week by representatives of the state of São Paulo and the Chinese State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

The report quotes an adviser to the São Paulo state government, Ana Paula Fava, as saying the hospital complex proposed would have 250 beds, including 50 for emergency patients, along with a shopping centre, a park and a place for cultural activities.

Ms Fava said patients would be given a combination of conventional treatment and Chinese traditional treatment.

The hospital could treat Brazilians and Chinese alike because the staff would speak Mandarin and Portuguese, Macauhub says.
