President Xi Jinping has guaranteed the mainland will continue to support Angola’s economic development, the Angop news agency reports.

The report quotes the Ambassador to Angola Cui Aimin, who described the contents of a letter sent by Mr Xi to Angola’s President, José Eduardo dos Santos.

“We continue to have great trust in relations with Angola, which are in an advanced stage, after the China-Angola Investment Forum,” Mr Cui was quoted as saying after meeting Mr dos Santos earlier this week.

Mr Cui says the forum contributed to “improving contacts and communication between the two peoples and the two governments”.
