The Portuguese Institute of the Orient is investigating holding Portuguese-language courses for businesspeople and workers in the insurance industry, the Jornal Tribuna de Macau reports.
“We are always open and looking for new possibilities, and we have presented several proposals [for new courses],” Patrícia Ribeiro, a spokesperson for the institute’s board of directors, told the newspaper.
“We have thought of the business field due to the increasing interest of China in Portuguese-speaking Countries.”
The institute currently organises Portuguese courses for other fields, including law, hospitality and banking, the report says.
