The Mozambican government is preparing to reduce the red tape restricting businesses, including the revision of trade- and real estate-related laws, Notícias reports.
The newspaper quotes the Council of Ministers’ spokesperson Mouzinho Saíde as saying the measures would “facilitate the business environment”.
Mozambique ranked 137th in World Bank’s latest Doing Business survey, which analysed regulations affecting small and medium-sized enterprises in 190 economies.
Mr Saíde was quoted saying he hoped the new measures would help the country climb the rankings in the Doing Business ranking.
