The Mozambique economy was 3.7 percent bigger in the third quarter of this year than it was in the same period last year, the National Statistics Institute of Mozambique reported on Monday.
In the second quarter, the rate of growth was 3.4 percent, the Reuters news agency says.
The government of Mozambique has a forecast for 3.7 percent growth this year, the Lusa news agency reports.
In a more recent survey of GDP growth, carried out by Bloomberg, this year’s consensus for the Mozambican economy is 3.4 percent for the year, before growth accelerates to 5 percent next year and 5.9 percent in 2018.
