Mozambique and East Timor are taking part for the first time in Macao Franchise Expo (MFE), the newspaper Jornal Tribuna de Macau reported this week.
MFE is an annual event organised jointly by Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) and several industry-related entities from Macao and overseas. This year’s edition will be held from July 29 to July 31.
“Macao has always had many contacts with all Portuguese-Speaking Countries; which take advantage of this kind of event to take their products into China’s market,” said IPIM’s Executive Director, Irene Lau, as quoted by the newspaper. “We are, essentially, trying to provide support so that that goal could be reached,” she added.
MFE’s 2016 edition includes participants from Mainland China, Brazil, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Portugal, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao.
