While the Future 17Line Monorail of the São Paulo Metro is not ready to connect Morumbi to Congonhas Airport, Byd Skyrail will present in São Paulo a prototype similar to the trains being built in its factory in China. The presentation will be took place at Intermodal South America in São Paulo Expo, from the 28th of February.

By the contract, Byd Skyrail will provide 14 train compositions, with five cars each, for the 17 Line monorail, which will have eight stations in the first phase.

BYD has two monorail projects in implementation in Brazil. In addition to the São Paulo train, the company has another in Salvador, where it is responsible for the construction and operation of the suburban VLT project, which will have 28 compositions, with four cars each.
