Suzano, the largest producer of eucalyptus pulp in the world and which has China as one of its main markets, has signed an agreement with Chinese shipping company Cosco to build 17 vessels to transport cellulose and other bio-based products, during commercial meetings held by the Brazilian mission in China.
The agreement with Cosco also involves a long-term transport contract, according to a document from the Brazilian mission given to journalists.
Suzano also signed a memorandum of understanding with China Paper Company for collaboration on bio-based materials and investment in research and development, according to the document.
