The first 400 social residences of the 1,816 that are being built in the locality of Saber Andar, in the city of Sumbe (Cuanza Sul), to accommodate the citizens begin to be delivered in December this year. The information was provided by the director of the Provincial Infrastructure Office, Jorge Caliata on the 4th of September to ANGOP.
In charge of the contractor China Harbor Engineering Company (CHEC), the Sumbe Integrated Infrastructure Development Project includes drainage works, reconstruction of 13 kilometers of streets, renovation of public lighting and telecommunications networks.
Regarding the remaining works, the director informed that they are proceeding at a good pace, with the physical execution of the project at 65 percent. In the last few days, there has been a significant advance in the works and some streets in Sumbe are already being paved with the placement of the respective curbstones, sidewalks, public lighting, sewage and drainage systems.
