The Exchange Session for Participants of Courses in China in the First Half of 2026 was held recently at the Embassy of China in São Tomé and Príncipe. The event was attended by the Chinese Ambassador to São Tomé and Príncipe, Xu Yingzhen, Eurídice Borges Semedo Medeiros, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Higher Education, as well as participants of seminars held in China in 2026.

In her speech, Ambassador Xu Yingzhen highlighted that co-operation between China and São Tomé and Príncipe in the development of human resources continues to deepen and consolidate. She also underlined that China is willing to take the China-Africa Year of People-to-People Exchanges as an opportunity to continue moving forward side by side with the São Toméan side, deepening exchanges and mutual learning, and jointly writing a new chapter in the development of the Strategic Partnership between China and São Tomé and Príncipe.

The session was held in a warm and cordial atmosphere. The participants actively took the floor, sharing their experiences in China and expressing their determination to apply the knowledge acquired to the development of the country.
