Pará State University takes part in international mission to China

Pará State University (UEPA) recently concluded an important participation in the International Mission of the Brazilian Association of Rectors of State and Municipal Universities (ABRUEM) to China. The ABRUEM delegation brought together rectors and representatives of 26 Brazilian institutions in a strategic agenda aimed at strengthening internationalisation and expanding opportunities for academic co-operation and partnerships.

 

The UEPA delegation, composed of Rector Clay Chagas and Professor André Diniz, representing the International Relations Office (CREIN), visited research centres and institutions in the cities of Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen.

 

The representatives also visited the Center for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC), affiliated with China’s Ministry of Education, and the China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE). They also took part in the China-Brazil University Leaders Dialogue, held at the National Academy of Education Administration (NAEA), which focused on the higher education systems of the two countries, their challenges and possibilities for co-operation. Topics discussed included the creation of joint vocational training centres and the sharing of experience in teacher training using technology and artificial intelligence. The delegation was also received by Peking University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) and Tongji University.
