A new Chinese brand has already set a date for its debut in Brazil, MG Motor. The company will begin operations here in the second half of 2025. Henrique Sampaio, marketing director of SAIC, which owns the brand, revealed the information. The statement was made during the Quatro Rodas Directions Forum, an event held by Editora Abril on March 25.
The company is already carrying out tests in Brazil with some MG Motor models, one of which is the MG4. In the meantime, SAIC already has an office in São Paulo (SP), more precisely in the Itaim Bibi neighborhood.
MG Motor has a rich history in England, where it was originally founded in 1924. In 2006, the MG brand was acquired by Nanjing Automobile. A year later, the group was bought by SAIC, which renamed the company MG Motor UK Limited.
