A delegation of authorities from the Huangpu district of Shanghai (China) visited Itaguaí City Hall in the early afternoon of March 26. The reception - which was enlivened by a performance by the Bamita band - was given by acting mayor Haroldo Jesus and various municipal authorities, including secretaries and advisors.
The Chinese delegation was led by Xu Huili, mayor of Huangpu district. Xu recalled that Shanghai has the largest port in the world and is a major hub for industry, entertainment, gastronomy and tourism. Huangpu, in particular, has a vocation for international relations.
Foreign Affairs Advisor, André Amorim, and Ports and Logistics Secretary, Ronaldo Fucci, praised the fact that the municipality is open to receiving automobile and technology industries, such as cell phone battery production factories, as mentioned by the Chinese authority.
