From November 5 to 10, the Brazilian Association of Meat Exporters (Abiec) participate in the China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai, China. The participation in the event is one of the strategic actions to promote Brazilian beef around the world by the Brazilian Beef project, an event of the Abiec and the ApexBrasil.
The Abiec considers that there is still a lot of space for expansion of Brazilian beef in the Chinese market, especially outside of Beijing - the political capital - and Shanghai, the financial center. Therefore, together with ApexBrasil, within the scope of the Brazilian Beef project, Abiec launches the project “The Beef and Road: bridging the Brazil-China Beef Routes”. The launch ceremony will be held on November 7th in Shanghai.
The president of Abiec, Antônio Jorge Camardelli, said that the focus of this project is to explore new routes for Brazilian beef. By expanding inland, Brazil is seeking to consolidate its position as a reliable and quality supplier in China, taking advantage of the growing “appetite” for the beef and the diversification of distribution channels in the regions furthest from the major centers.
