On October 14, the governor of Piauí, Rafael Fonteles, inaugurated a Representative Office of Strategic Investment Promotion Agency of Piauí in China at the Sea World complex in the city of Xiamen, where the office is located. 

According to the government of Piauí, this office aims to internationalize Piauí's economy by expanding trade and investment relations between China and Brazil. During the event, the Chinese participants had business negotiation with more than 80 business people from Piauí, Brazil.

Rafael Fonteles explained that the representative office in China will contribute to strengthen trade relations between Piauí and China, as well as promote the investments from China.
