Recently, a delegation from Tianjin, China, visited the Polytechnic of Setúbal (IPS) for the inauguration of the European EPIP Teaching Certification Center, which will operate out of the Lu Ban Portuguese Workshop as a way of promoting the teaching model taught there, based on the Engineering-Practice-Innovation-Project (EPIP) elements.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Setubal’s Municipal People's Government, the Municipal Education Commission and the Tianjin Vocational School of Mechanics and Electricity, at the same time, signed a cooperation protocol aimed at modernizing the advanced equipments installed in the Industry 4.0 laboratory.

The deputy director of the Tianjin Education Committee, Luo Yan'an, stressed that this is the second certification center established outside of China, representing “a milestone in the expansion and application of the EPIP model in Portugal and throughout Europe”.
