Chinese ambassador visits Suframa

On September 19 morning, shortly after the opening ceremony of the seminar “Port of Chancay: Opportunities and Challenges for Integration with the Manaus Free Trade Zone and the Amazon region”, which took place at the site of Superintendency of the Free Trade Zone of Manaus (Suframa), the Chinese ambassador to Brazil, Zhu Qingqiao, met with the Superintendent of Suframa, Bosco Saraiva, at Suframa's office.


During the meeting, the ambassador Zhu Qingqiao highlighted the growing interest of Chinese companies in Brazil and, in particular, in realizing the benefits of the Manaus Free Trade Zone. He pointed out that “The Manaus Free Trade Zone, in particular, can be a important place for Sino-Brazilian cooperation in favor of business development.”


The Suframa's superintendent, Bosco Saraiva, expressed that attracting Chinese investment for new businesses in the zone is of great significance and importance to the institution. He also said: “Investments from China are already very representative in the Manaus Free Trade Zone and we will do everything possible to make them grow even more, undoubtedly counting on the firm support of the Chinese Embassy in Brazil.”
