Ehang, a Chinese manufacturer of electric vertical takeoff and landing (EVTOL) aircraft, made the first test flight of its 'flying car' in Brazil on September 20.
The model took off shortly after 10 am, at Aeroquadra, in the city of Quadra, 80 kilometers from São Paulo, and performed a remote flight. It was operated by Adriano Buzaid, CEO of Gohobby, and was unmanned. Gohobby, an importer and distributor of drones in Brazil and Latin America, is the Brazilian reseller of EHang.
In China, Ehang's eVTOLS are already being used. The model takes 25 minutes to charge and has a range of 30 km in a straight line.
