The Bank of China in Angola recorded a profit of 2.5 billion kwanzas in the second quarter of this year, representing an increase of 197% compared to the same period last year, considering that the financial entity's accounts totaled 849.6 million kwanzas in the second quarter of 2023.

According to the financial statements of the bank of Chinese origin, the profit for the second quarter is also higher than the first three months of the year, the amount of which stood at 750.8 million kwanzas.

From reading the document, the increase in income is essentially due to the favorable evolution of the financial margin, with emphasis on the items “Cash and Availability” and “Applications in central banks”.

It is worth noting that the Bank of China experienced in 2023 a bitter period, given the significant losses constant in almost all items of the balance sheets and reports and accounts.
