On June 5, GWM announced what will be the first model produced in Brazil at the Iracemápolis (SP) factory. The news was revealed by the company's founder and chairman, Jack Wey, in a meeting with the vice-president of Brazil, Geraldo Alckmin.
The model chosen to start production by the Chinese company in Brazil was the Haval H6 hybrid SUV, which arrived in Brazil by import in March 2023. In the second half of 2024, the first units of the GWM Haval H6 will begin to be produced, still in pre-production.
In the coming months, hiring and training will be carried out for employees responsible for manufacturing the vehicles, according to Wey.
At the end of the meeting, Wey presented Geraldo Alckmin with a miniature of the vehicle.
