Vale and Suzano, two of the main Brazilian companies exporting to China, operated with the yuan, as published by Folha de São Paulo.

To the vehicle, representatives of the Brazilian giant in the mining sector confirmed that they had already sold iron ore only using the yuan, without conversion to the real. Suzano declared that it was only carrying out small projects in the process of acquiring experience.

"I do not doubt that China will become more relevant in the global market,"declared Walter Schalka, CEO of Suzano, when commenting on the matter in an interview given in 2023.
