On May 8, Grupo Multi - formerly known as Multilaser - announced that it will be responsible for the manufacture and distribution in Brazil of smartphones from China's Oppo, the fifth largest cell phone manufacturer on the planet.
The brand's products first arrived in Brazil in 2022. However, these models were manufactured in Shenzhen, China, and imported to Brazil. Now, the brand will produce the devices in the country. In practice, this could have a very positive impact on the final price.
Alongside the announcement of the partnership with Multi, the arrival of the Oppo A58 and Oppo A79 models was also revealed. They are Oppo's bets to compete in the intermediate/advanced smartphone segment, but offer more competitive prices.
