The customs clearance unit (ADA) of the Piauí Export Processing Zone (EPZ), located in Parnaíba, Brazil, has unloaded 8.7 tons of inputs from Dongguan, China, purchased by the company Agrocera and which will be used in the state's industry.
These inputs play a crucial role in the carnauba wax packaging process, which follows a reverse route, being exported from the EPZ not only to China, but also to various countries in the Americas, Europe and Asia.
The president of the EPZ, Álvaro Nolleto, emphasizes that the regular import and export operations, starting in November 2022, are testimony to the progress of Piauí's free trade zone, one of the main development projects supported by governor Rafael Fonteles.
The bonded perimeter of the Piauí EPZ, built and equipped by the state government and managed by the Brazilian Federal Revenue Service, highlights Piauí's leading role in the Export Processing Zones Program implemented by the federal government, through the Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services (MDIC).
