A section containing works of Chinese literature is a feature of an international book fair that has opened in the Brazilian city of São Paulo, Xinhua reports.
The Chinese government-run news agency quotes the leader of the Chinese exhibitors at the fair, Yu Yang, as saying the event is an opportunity for Sino-Brazilian exchanges, for Chinese to learn about Latin America in general and Brazil in particular, and for Brazilians and other Latin Americans to learn about the literature China has to offer.
Mr Yu said books on Chinese culture were in demand among Brazilians, along with books on Chinese political and economic development.
Eight Chinese publishers are exhibiting at the fair, displaying 200 works, 50 of them written in Portuguese or English.
The fair runs until August 12, Xinhua says.
